Old friends

Met Jeremy TKL online today.

He seems to be doing very well, got himself a great job at Shell as a design engineer. Big bucks-- because I mentioned that 2.6 is the standard going rate for fresh graduates and he said its poor so prolly he gets 3k. Seems to me that O&G is the way to go. Wanted to consider Down Under and US but the choice seems to lean towards Singapore for me since of girlfriend obligations and parents. Feel a bit afraid distance will kill it. I always felt that it was immature to be attached too much to this unguaranteed love-love stuff (think Clem) and that it may hold you back from your true calling (i.e. big bucks).

We chat and I told him I was doing my internship at the German Aerospace Center at the moment. Gave him a link to the official site for the Cologne branch. Here is the text that follows:
